Warm Springs Press Releases
October 5, 2006
![]() TEAM WARM SPRINGS PEDDLING FOR A GOOD CAUSE Over 30 participants that included Warm Springs staff, physicians and family and friends geared up to participate in the Valero MS 150 Bike to the Beach on Oct. 7 & 8, 2006. Team Warm Springs joined some 3,500 riders from throughout Texas to raise money and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. “We recently opened the Multiple Sclerosis Center at Warm Springs and became an affiliate of the National MS Society, two great accomplishments. Our participation in this event is another way to demonstrate our support to our patients and the programs we offer,” said Genaline Escalante, Team Captain for Team Warm Springs. Each participant rode on behalf of an MS Champion, person who lives with MS. “We are proud to have a team from Warm Springs dedicated to promoting awareness and raising money for this incurable and unpredictable disease,” said Dr. David Altman, Medical Director of the Neurological Rehabilitation Institute at Warm Springs. “Our participation in the Valero MS 150 shows our dedication to our patients and to finding a cure for MS.” Team Warm Springs trained for over six months, riding 100 miles every week to prepare for this challenging, but rewarding event. |
